Description
Construction Package 4 of California High Speed Rail is a Design Build delivery project bounded in the north by a point approximately one mile north of the Tulare-Kern County Line and terminates in the south at Poplar Avenue, just north of the city of Shafter. The project alignment extends 22 miles in length and construction consists of at-grade, retained fill, and aerial rail sections. The project involves relocation and re-purposing of existing BNSF tracks and reconstructing selected roadways under Caltrans and County jurisdiction along with creating waterway and wildlife crossings. The project consists of 14 structures, including a 2,000’ long pergola south of the city of Wasco. CP-4 is building the foundation for the future high-speed rail track and systems package. CRB worked alongside RTEA on this project in support of the Design Build team.
